this is my research on other school magazines. i have done this so i know what other school put on there fornt covers and contents pages so i know what works and what doesnt.

This is a draft idea of what the title of my magazine could look like.



paramore

The videos on the top of my blog are of paramore. I have decided to do this as paramore are a rock band and are very popular to a wide range of people. i am also going a paramore concert in november, so it will be the perfect oppertunity to get some live pictures which could be used as a story that will be inclued in my magazine and placed on the front page, i could also use some of the live pictures I would have taken in my contents page, and also one on my front cover to attract the readers.

for this part of research i asked 10 people to fill out this small questionaire to see which name they think woul best suit the magazine and genre. The results showed that the majority of the people prefered the name RIOT! for the magazine name, the reasons for this are shown above. other choices made were stellify, which means turning into a star and is also an indie song, so would suit the magazine, and also Mosh, which is short for mosh pit and is linked to the rock genre. overall this has helped me s I now know which name would best appeal and sell my magazine.

here i have researched three magazine front covers. i have evaluated the layout, colour scheme and pictures and information used on the front cover too see what is more effective. The magazines i have chosen also fit into the theme of indie and rock magazines, which links to the genre of magazine that i am doing.
